Our Mt. Evans adventure...

Luke took me for a drive up to the top of Mt. Evans today! We had a wonderful time! What an amazing drive that is! I recommend it to anyone who is in the I-70 corridor area - it is a must see! Apparently the weather is only good enough for the road up to the top to stay open a few weeks out of the year, in the summer obviously, so take advantage of it while you can! :)

I did learn though, that when you have a Jeep, you're expected to drive through every mud puddle, water puddle, etc that you can....sometimes this is fun, and sometimes this can turn out badly! :) Luke saw this giant puddle of water, and decided to show his crazy manliness and drive on through it - well it was SO DEEP!! We got majorly stuck....like majorly! Another Jeep eventually drove by, and we hooked up to them and they pulled us out. It was quite the adventure :) I will have to try and edit some of the "stuck" photos soon - the only problem was that we were so stuck and in so deep that I was unable to get out - so I could only take photos of the water seeping in around us! haha! Good times all around though!

Enjoy the mountain and snow photos!

Mapleton Transportation, 2007-2008

I had the opportunity to take the Mapleton Transportation Team annual photo this year! A great experience for me, and a wonderful way to spread my name amongst Luke's coworkers....

Adam's Senior Portraits...

Adam is the son of one of Luke's coworkers, Annette, and I had the opportunity to shoot his senior portraits this month. It was a great opportunity for me to hone my skills with portraits and to possibly get my name out there with other coworkers who have graduates in their families in the next couple of years!

Adam was a lot of fun to spend the afternoon with. His cousin and his mom came along as well, which was great! Adam's in a band and so wanted his love of music and his guitar to be center stage in his photos. Much to his mom's dismay, we also featured the mask that he wears during performances in some of his photos - but she was quick to get him to take it off for the majority of them! :) I found a great wall of graffiti in Denver, which we swung by and took a few shots against. We also visited a couple of alleys and City Park in downtown Denver. It was a great experience, and I look forward to doing more of these portrait sessions! It's great to be able to give a family photos of their kids that they will treasure forever....that's a very special feeling!
