I had the afternoon free, so I drove up to Estes Park for a little photo shoot. The drive up there is absolutely gorgeous! Hopefully I will have more to upload soon!
Luke took me for a drive up to the top of Mt. Evans today! We had a wonderful time! What an amazing drive that is! I recommend it to anyone who is in the I-70 corridor area - it is a must see! Apparently the weather is only good enough for the road up to the top to stay open a few weeks out of the year, in the summer obviously, so take advantage of it while you can! :)
I did learn though, that when you have a Jeep, you're expected to drive through every mud puddle, water puddle, etc that you can....sometimes this is fun, and sometimes this can turn out badly! :) Luke saw this giant puddle of water, and decided to show his crazy manliness and drive on through it - well it was SO DEEP!! We got majorly stuck....like majorly! Another Jeep eventually drove by, and we hooked up to them and they pulled us out. It was quite the adventure :) I will have to try and edit some of the "stuck" photos soon - the only problem was that we were so stuck and in so deep that I was unable to get out - so I could only take photos of the water seeping in around us! haha! Good times all around though!
Luke and I spent part of the day in Denver today looking around for interesting places to do a senior shoot that I have coming up soon. We ran into a lot of interesting things - most of which were shot from a moving car as we fought the traffic of Denver at rush hour! It was a fun afternoon though....
I believe this is right near the Denver Art Museum....quite the interesting abstract sculpture!
The Capital Building
I'm pretty positive that this is the Wells Fargo Building - I've always heard it looks like a cash register!
These were taken in Nederland, CO cemetery - Luke and I went for a drive and explored the town a little! The cemetery is beautiful - it's high up on a hill, overlooking a town. It's in a little bit of shambles - some of the tombstones are broken and the grass is really high (as you'll see in the first photo!), but it is extremely tranquil and serene....a beautiful resting place...
I got the chance to wander around Lyons, CO all by myself yesterday. I checked out the local cemetery, Meadow Park, and the little downtown core - it was great fun!
I hope to capture the beauty of the every day - to emphasize the details of life that we take for granted and make them a thing of beauty.
As an aside....I hate to have to stamp my photos with a watermark....however I have seen many peoples photos stolen online and I would like to make it as hard as possible for that to happen. Thanks for your understanding!
